Huang, Guang and Hui come from different educational and social backgrounds; and they were imprisoned for various reasons. Despite their extreme differences, they nurtured an extraordinary bond between them through their time in prison. Upon their release from prison, the trio encountered severe family pressure and social discrimination. Though Huang has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for his misdeed, the society has “sentenced him for life”. Failure to be accepted by the society almost caused him to repeat his mistakes. Consequently, his determination and perseverance pays off and he manages to move his family.
